Vinyl fails on walls, not in the machine. A wall that was painted last month, a window with old adhesive on it, a panel that was wiped with a wet cloth ten minutes before — those are what make vinyl peel, and none of them is a printing problem.
Vinyl is a thin self-adhesive film that takes a printed image and sticks to a flat surface. Everything useful about it follows from those two facts: it needs the surface to be properly flat and properly clean, and the adhesive is doing a job that nothing in the print can rescue.
We print it eco-solvent, which matters for two reasons people rarely explain. It is outdoor-stable — the ink is in the film rather than on it, so it does not wash or fade in a Pune summer — and it is low-odour, so it can go up in an office, a clinic or a restaurant and be used the same day. That is the whole reason eco-solvent is the standard for this work.
What we quote is per square foot for the print, with lamination, cutting and installation as separate lines, because a job that needs installation on a glass facade is not the same job as a roll handed over the counter.

Paint keeps curing for weeks after it looks dry, and adhesive on curing paint lifts — often taking the paint with it. Two to three weeks after painting is the honest minimum, and if the wall was painted last week, we will say so rather than take the job and the blame.
A wall can look clean and carry a film of fine dust that halves the bond. It gets wiped down and left to dry completely — applying to a damp surface traps moisture under the film, which shows as cloudy patches a week later.
Vinyl needs flat. On a textured or sand-finish wall it bridges the high points and lifts off the low ones, and no amount of squeegee work fixes it. On those walls the answer is a mounted panel instead, and we will recommend that rather than sell you a film that will fail.
Glass that had vinyl on it before has residue, and new film over residue bubbles. It has to come off properly first — that is labour, and it is quoted as labour.
Unlaminated vinyl in direct Pune sun fades, and in a corridor it scuffs within a month. Lamination is a small part of the cost and most of the lifespan.

Indoors and laminated, several years. Outdoors in direct Pune sun, roughly one to three years depending on the media and whether it is laminated and edge-sealed. Unlaminated vinyl in full sun is the shortest life of anything we print, and we will say so before you buy it.

That phrase has no official meaning, so the useful question is what to compare.
