Punawale is almost entirely new high-rise, and a lot of the functions here are a family's first in that flat — housewarmings, naming ceremonies, first birthdays. New buildings, new committees, long rule lists.
Punawale went up quickly on the expressway side of PCMC and is almost entirely new high-rise. That gives it excellent venues — modern clubhouses, party lawns inside the gate, proper service lifts — and a resident population that is young, working and largely new to the area.
The function calendar follows exactly from that. A great deal of what we do here is a household's first function in a new flat: vastu shanti and griha pravesh, a naming ceremony, a first birthday, a baby shower. Then the building's own calendar on top — annual day, Ganpati, Navratri, a new-year night.
New societies are easier to work in than old ones in every physical way and harder in one administrative way: developers hand buildings over with managed-property rules attached, and committees add to them. The rule list here is usually longer than in a forty-year-old society, not shorter. We ask for it before designing.
The first function in a new flat, and everything the building holds after.
Vastu shanti and griha pravesh with the layout agreed with the family or the priest, set up early and cleared in time.
Hall booking, deposit, written notice and the managed-property list, sorted before anything is drawn.
Panels sized to the service lift, or joined on the landing, so nothing has to be carried up whole.
Built low and safe — no sharp edges, nothing freestanding a toddler can pull over, no cable across a play area.
Levels set for a building with families directly above, and the music off at the hour the committee set.
Frames down, waste carried away with us, clubhouse and lobby handed back as we found them.
The first function in a new flat, which is most of what happens here.
Morning functions at home, set up and struck before lunch.
Clubhouse or flat setups, built low and safe.
Dohale jevan and baby-shower setups, usually daytime and in the clubhouse.
A stage, sound and a children's programme for the whole building.
Ten days of decoration, a daily aarti and an immersion to plan for.
Clubhouse parties with sound and light, finishing at the permitted hour.
Outdoor evenings inside the gate, with power and lighting brought in.
A housewarming is a small job with a lot of ways to annoy people, most of them avoidable.
New buildings come with managed-property rules plus whatever the committee has added: nails, adhesive, drilling, helium, open flame, height limits, deposit, hours, and often a rule about using the service lift rather than the passenger one. Read it before approving a design.
Vitrified flooring scratches and new skirting marks. Sheeting under everything, pads under frame feet, nothing dragged. This is the family's new home and the deposit is the least of it.
Where the havan sits and which way people face are not design decisions. Settle them with whoever is conducting the ceremony and decorate around them.
A griha pravesh has a time, and everything — setup, flowers, seating, the priest's arrangement — has to be finished before it, not around it. That usually means a start earlier than people expect, and we say so when quoting.
In a new tower, a crew using the passenger lift at nine in the morning is a complaint before the function has begun. A word in advance costs nothing.
Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
A team that has worked Punawale knows the access, the power and the society timings. Ask for that, ask for the breakdown, and ask who runs the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Yes, and in Punawale they are the most common function we are called for. The layout is agreed with the family or the priest, the morning is planned backwards from the muhurat, and the flat is sheeted properly because it is new.
Yes. We need the booking hours, the deposit terms and the society's rule list before designing — new buildings have longer lists than old ones, not shorter, and they change the build.
A lot of them. Built low and child-safe — nothing sharp, nothing that can be pulled over, no trailing cable through a play area — with the photo corner out of the walkway.
No. We coordinate the caterer you choose — menus, timings, counters and service on the day — but we do not cook and we take no cut of the food bill.
Whatever your society says, and most new buildings here say ten or eleven. Loudspeakers are in any case not permitted anywhere in Pune between ten at night and six in the morning except on the days the state exempts.
Two weeks for a home ceremony is enough, though the muhurat date is usually known much earlier. Three to four weeks for a clubhouse function.
Search results do not rank planners by quality, so the label is only ever someone's opinion. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles vastu shanti and griha pravesh, naming ceremonies and first birthdays in Punawale. The same crew covers Tathawade and Wakad. Ask which parts are handled in house and which are being passed to a third party.
Start with teams that already work in Punawale — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Punawale with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
The number depends on guests, venue, décor and stage scale, and how close to the date you book. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Punawale are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
