Store launches
Opening day with a ribbon, a crowd, offers and enough staff to handle the first hour.

FC Road is retail, cafés and a constant young crowd. The events here are store launches, brand activations and promotions — judged on footfall captured, not on how the stage looked.
FC Road is one of the few genuine high streets in Pune — retail on both sides, cafés, and a young crowd that is out on foot every evening of the week. That changes what an event here is for. You are not inviting an audience; the audience is already walking past. The job is giving them a reason to stop, and then capturing something from the ones who do.
That makes the measurable things different. Not guest count but footfall, dwell time, numbers collected, samples handed, codes scanned. A beautiful setup that nobody stops at has failed, and a modest one with a working hook and two trained promoters has not. We plan for the hook and the capture first.
The practical side is permissions and hours. Anything on or near the footpath needs clearance, sound on a commercial street has its own limits, and builds happen late at night or very early because the street is busy the rest of the time. All of that is arranged before the design, because the permission decides what the design can be.
Opening day with a ribbon, a crowd, offers and enough staff to handle the first hour.
Weekend setups with a demo or a game and a team collecting responses.
Product sampling to a walking crowd, with the logistics of restocking planned.
Promotions aimed at a college audience, timed to when they are actually on the street.
Installations built to be photographed and posted, which is most of the reach.
Soft launches and opening nights, sized to a small room and a big queue.
Short-run stalls and kiosks, with the permission and the power handled.
Short crowd-gathering performances, planned with the police intimation in place.
From a one-day activation to a full store launch.
Whatever the footpath, the sound and the structure need, applied for with the timeline it actually takes.
The one reason a passer-by stops — a demo, a game, a photo moment — decided before anything is built.
Briefed, scripted staff, and a simple way to collect a number or a scan that does not slow the queue.
Structure, graphics and lighting that read from across the road, printed in our own unit.
Built late or early so the street is not blocked, and struck the same way.
A clear route past the activation at all times, which is both the rule and the reason it is allowed to stay.
A street activation is a marketing job with a build attached, not a build with marketing attached.
What may stand on or near a footpath, how big, for how long, and with what sound — those answers decide the design. Designing first and applying later is how a concept gets cut in half two days before.
Footfall, stops, dwell time, numbers collected, codes scanned. Pick the number before the event, because it changes the layout: capture needs a place to stand that is out of the walking line, and that has to be designed in.
Nobody stops for a banner. They stop for something happening — a demo, a game, a photograph worth taking, something free. One good hook beats a larger setup with nothing going on in it.
A scripted opening line, what to do when someone says no, and who handles a crowd when three people arrive at once. Untrained staff standing beside a good setup is the most common reason an activation underperforms.
Not only because it is the condition of the permission, but because a blocked footpath pushes people into the road and gets the whole thing shut down. We hold a clear route and staff it when the crowd builds.
Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
A team that has worked FC Road knows the access, the power and the society timings. Ask for that, ask for the breakdown, and ask who runs the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

We prepare everything the authority asks for and the application goes in the brand's or the retailer's name, because that is who is responsible. Start three to four weeks out; the permission decides what the design can be, so it comes before the creative rather than after it.
Late at night or very early in the morning. The street is busy the rest of the time and a daytime build blocks it, which is neither allowed nor sensible. Dismantle is the same.
By the number you choose before the event — footfall, stops, dwell, numbers collected, codes scanned. We design the capture point into the layout, because it needs to be out of the walking line to work at all.
Yes, briefed and scripted rather than just hired — an opening line, what to do with a refusal, and who handles three people arriving at once. Untrained staff beside a good setup is the most common reason an activation underperforms.
Yes, in our own unit — banners, panels, standees, backdrops and signage, sized to read from across the road. That is also why they are never the late item.
Three to four weeks for an activation with permissions. For a store launch, six weeks, because the opening date tends to move and the printing has to follow it.
It is worth treating that search as a shortlist, not an answer — no one certifies a best. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles store launches, brand activations and sampling drives in FC Road. The same crew covers Pune and Deccan. Ask for the breakdown — décor, stage, sound, crew, transport — and compare like for like.
The shortlist worth having is teams who have set up in FC Road before; venue quirks are the part nobody writes in a quotation. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to FC Road with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
It moves with guest count, venue, the scale of décor and stage, and whether the date is in season. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in FC Road are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
