Kothrud is a settled, family neighbourhood, and its calendar is built around weddings, ceremonies and hall functions. We plan, set up and run those, working to the hall's booking hours and the lanes that decide how material reaches the door.
Kothrud is one of the older residential parts of the city's western half, and it has lived in for decades rather than been built last year. Families here are settled, often across two or three generations, and the events they book reflect that: weddings and receptions, engagements, haldi and mehendi mornings, satyanarayan pujas, naming ceremonies, thread ceremonies, milestone birthdays for elders and anniversary functions.
The venues are traditional too. Wedding halls and mangal karyalaya style venues, older banquet halls, temple halls and society halls do most of the work, and they are booked in sessions, often a morning function and an evening one on the same day. That means your décor has to go up in a fixed window and come down just as fast, with the hall handed over clean for the next family.
The streets are the other planning factor. Many of these venues sit on older lanes with parked vehicles on both sides and no space for a large truck, so material arrives in smaller loads and the crew carries the last stretch. We plan that in from the start instead of discovering it on the morning.

A function in Kothrud is planned backwards from two fixed points: the muhurat time the family has been given, and the hour the hall lets you in. Everything else has to fit between them.
Most wedding halls and mangal karyalaya style venues here run more than one function a day. You are given a session, not the building, and your setup and strike sit inside it. So the first questions are always the same: from what hour may the crew enter, by what hour must everything be out, is the previous family's décor cleared before we arrive, and what may be fixed to the walls, pillars and ceiling. Older halls have ceiling fans, pillars in the middle of the floor and limited power points, which decides where the mandap and the stage can stand. We measure all of that on a site visit and design to it, rather than adjusting a standard layout on the morning.

Plenty of Kothrud's halls and homes sit on older internal lanes where two cars cannot pass comfortably and both sides are parked full. A large truck simply cannot stand there while it is unloaded. So material comes in smaller vehicles, or comes in one load that is emptied quickly into the hall and moved on, and the last stretch is carried. We also keep load-in away from school hours and the evening rush, when the main roads in and out of this side of the city slow down badly. Tell us about any low gate, narrow entrance, staircase turn or lift that limits what can pass, and we will build the mandap and backdrop in sections that get through it.
Guest parking deserves the same honesty. Many older halls have room for a handful of cars and nothing more, so tell guests in the invitation where to leave vehicles, and keep the space nearest the entrance for elders being dropped off and for the caterer's van.
In a traditional function the ritual space wins every argument. The priest needs room around the fire or the puja area, elders need chairs close by and a clear path to them, and the family needs space to stand on three sides for photographs. We set the puja corner and the mandap first, then place the entrance, the floral work and the photo corner around it. Morning ceremonies like haldi and mehendi also need shade and honest light, so on a terrace or in an open courtyard we plan for both, and from June to September we keep a covered option ready. Fresh flowers also wilt fast in an enclosed hall, so the heaviest floral work goes up last, closest to the hour guests arrive. Yes, Kothrud is part of our everyday working area, along with the neighbourhoods around it such as Bavdhan and the older parts towards Deccan. There is no outstation travel or crew stay to add. We visit the hall or the house as often as the plan needs, and one planner stays with your family from the first meeting to the handover.
Very quickly. Our office is in Anand Nagar, which is on the same side of the city, so a site visit is usually possible the same day. For a function, the crew arrives when the hall opens your session, not later. We avoid school hours and the evening rush for material vehicles, since those are what slow this side of Pune down.
Yes, that is most of our work here. Send us your session hours and the hall's rules. We take measurements on a site visit, design the mandap and stage around pillars, fans and power points, build inside your allotted hours, and strike completely at the end so the hall is handed back clean for the next booking.

Yes. Home and terrace setups for haldi, mehendi, satyanarayan puja, naming and thread ceremonies are regular work for us. We set the puja area first, keep the path to the elders' seating clear and use free-standing frames so nothing is drilled. Morning ceremonies are set up the previous evening or very early, as the building allows.
Book the hall as soon as the muhurat is fixed, and bring us in three to four months before a wedding or reception. Six to eight weeks is workable for an engagement, puja or anniversary function. Between November and February, halls, florists and lighting are stretched across the city, so earlier is always safer for those dates.
