Kirkatwadi is the edge of Pune on the Sinhagad side — a village core, farmhouses, and open land. Space is the one thing it has plenty of, and services are the thing it does not.
Kirkatwadi sits where Sinhagad Road leaves the city, and it is still mostly a village with farmhouses and open land around it. For anyone who needs room — a big wedding, a community function, a company day out — it offers more of it than anywhere closer in, and at a fraction of what a venue inside the city costs.
The trade is services. Power on most plots is limited or absent, water has to be arranged, washrooms usually have to be brought, and lighting is entirely yours to supply. A function here is built from nothing, which is ordinary work but has to be quoted honestly: the infrastructure first, the event second.
The village core is the other half. Lanes there are narrow, the community turns out in numbers for a wedding or a Ganpati, and a vehicle often cannot reach the house. Material is unloaded where it can stop and carried in, and that carrying is real crew hours rather than a rounding error.
A build from nothing, on a plot or in the village lanes.
A generator sized to stage, lights and kitchen together, with reserve, and every run covered or buried.
A covered span, levelling, matting and a firm floor under seating, dining and the stage.
Tower lights on the approach, the parking and the washroom path, not just a bright stage and a dark walk.
Water brought for the caterer and the guests, and portable washrooms placed and serviced.
Where a vehicle can reach and turn, how far material is carried, and where guests leave their cars.
Frames out, cabling lifted, pegs pulled, waste taken away with us rather than left on the land.
A full build on bare land — structure, floor, power, light and mandap.
Private functions at the farmhouses around the village.
Village-core functions where the guest list is the whole lane.
Ten days of mandap, decoration and aarti, with a procession at the end.
Daytime team events with shade, seating, food counters and activities.
Evening functions under a structure, where the lighting does most of the work.
Location setups for photography, with props, seating and power.
Daytime family functions, set up and struck in one morning.
Open land is the cheapest venue in Pune and the most expensive to under-plan.
Levelling, flooring, a structure, a generator, cabling, tower lights, water and washrooms. None of it appears in a photograph and all of it decides whether the evening works. A quotation that is all décor is not cheaper, it is incomplete.
Getting to the village is easy; getting into it is not always. Lane width, the turn, and where a truck can stop decide the vehicle and the crew. Worth half an hour before booking anything.
Land out here softens in the monsoon and the approach can become the problem rather than the site. We will say plainly whether a date suits a plot instead of taking the booking and improvising.
The car park is a field and the walk is dark. Tower lights along that route are the cheapest improvement on the quotation and the one guests actually mention.
Pegs, cabling, cable covers and waste, out with us. On farmland and village common ground that is not optional, and "someone will come tomorrow" is how goodwill is lost.
Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
Ask for an itemised scope, ask who is on site on the day, and ask what they have set up in Kirkatwadi already. The answers sort a list of ten down to two. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Usually very little and often none. We bring a generator sized to the whole load — stage, lights and the caterer together — with reserve, quoted as its own line so you can see what it costs.
Yes, and out here it is the normal job. It is quoted in two halves — infrastructure, then the event — because the first is what makes the second possible and it is the half people forget to budget for.
Sometimes yes and sometimes no, which is why we check before booking one. Where it cannot, material is unloaded at the nearest point and carried in, and we price that carrying honestly rather than discovering it on the morning.
Yes, both, as separate lines — portable washrooms placed and serviced, and water for the caterer and the guests. On a site with no facilities these are part of the event rather than extras.
Land out here softens and the approach can become the problem rather than the site. We will tell you plainly whether a plot suits your date instead of taking the booking and hoping.
Six to eight weeks at least for an open-ground build. For a village function in the lanes, three to four weeks. For a public Ganpati, before the season.
Search results do not rank planners by quality, so the label is only ever someone's opinion. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles open-ground weddings, farmhouse functions and community weddings in Kirkatwadi. The same crew covers Khadakwasla and Dhayari. Ask each name you shortlist for an itemised scope rather than one figure, and compare the same lines.
Start with teams that already work in Kirkatwadi — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Kirkatwadi with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
There is no standard rate — the cost follows the guest count, the venue, how much décor and stage you want, and the date. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Kirkatwadi are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
