Kharadi runs on a different clock from most of Pune. The office towers empty into banquet rooms and restaurants in the same few streets, so a large share of the work here is evening work: annual parties, team celebrations, sales meets that end in dinner, product launches, conferences that run into a networking session. The guest list is often the same people who were on the fifth floor an hour earlier, which makes timing more important than distance.
The residential side is newer and taller than the older parts of the east. High-rise societies here have podium decks, clubhouse rooms and terrace spaces rather than big open grounds, and everything reaches them through a service lift and a fixed goods-entry slot. That single fact shapes what can be built: modular frames, sectional stages and light truss instead of anything that needs a crane or a long ramp.
Being close to the airport helps too. Outstation guests, speakers and performers arrive without a long transfer, which keeps a two-session day realistic. We plan arrival and rehearsal times around flight timings rather than assuming everyone is already in the city.

Most Kharadi events are won or lost on two decisions: which type of venue you book, and what time your material is allowed through the door. The design work is the easy part once those are settled.
There are four kinds of space in regular use here and they behave very differently. A banquet room gives you power, air conditioning, parking and a kitchen, but it also comes with house rules on rigging, on what may be fixed to walls, and on how early you may get in. An office auditorium or cafeteria costs nothing extra and is the shortest walk for your team, but it has to be returned to working order the same night. A clubhouse room suits fifty to a hundred guests and needs committee approval. A terrace or podium deck gives you the best evening look and the least control over weather and sound. Decide which of those you want before you fall in love with a theme.

Very little in Kharadi can be driven up to the stage. Material comes off the truck at a basement or service entry, goes into a goods lift and travels up in pieces, so we measure the lift before we design the stage. Sectional decks, light truss, folding frames and panel backdrops all fit; a single long piece of anything usually does not. Book the goods lift slot in advance, because in a tall building a lift you cannot block turns a two-hour load-in into five hours. We also keep a second crew call after the event, since striking a setup at midnight needs the same lift and the same permission.
Parking decides how an evening starts here. Basement levels in this belt are shared between offices, shops and visitors, and on a weekday evening they are already full when your first guests arrive. Ask the venue how many visitor slots are actually held for your event, whether valet is available and what it costs, and where the overflow goes. Then say it plainly in the invitation, along with the correct tower or gate, because a guest circling for twenty minutes walks in annoyed and late.
An evening event here should start late enough that people are not still in a meeting and early enough that the sound can finish on time. Outdoor sound normally stops by ten at night, so a terrace programme is planned backwards from that, with the loud part of the evening scheduled first and the quieter dinner after. Indoors, you have more room to run late. The airport is a short drive away, which is why speakers, performers and outstation guests can arrive the same morning and still make a rehearsal. Yes, Kharadi is part of our regular Pune working area, along with the office and residential pockets around it and neighbouring areas such as Viman Nagar. There is no outstation travel or crew stay to add. We visit the venue as often as the plan needs, and one planner stays with you from the first call to the strike.
We can be in Kharadi on the same day for a site visit, and usually the next working day at a time that suits the venue. Our office is in Anand Nagar, so the drive crosses the city and we book visits outside office peak hours. For event day, the crew arrives well ahead of the load-in slot rather than cutting it fine.

Banquet rooms here fill quickly for December and for the wedding season, so start earlier if your date is in that window. Short-notice events are possible with a narrower venue choice.
