Power from scratch
A generator sized to stage, lights and kitchen together, with reserve, and every run covered or buried.

Khadakwasla is the lake, the lawns and farmhouses around it, and very little infrastructure. For a destination-feel function inside Pune it is hard to beat — as long as everything is brought.
Khadakwasla gives Pune something unusual: open water, real space and an out-of-town feeling, half an hour from the middle of the city. The venues are lawns, farmhouses and open plots around the lake, and they are genuinely good settings for a wedding, a reception, a milestone birthday or a company offsite.
What they do not have is infrastructure. Power is limited or absent, water has to be arranged, washrooms often have to be brought, lighting is entirely yours to supply, and mobile signal is patchy in places. A function here is built rather than booked, and the first half of the quotation is the half that makes the second half possible.
The monsoon deserves a plain warning. The ground around the lake holds water, the approach lanes soften, and an evening that would be beautiful in December can be miserable in August. We will say honestly whether a date suits the venue rather than take the booking and hope.
A full build, because there is very little here to build on.
A generator sized to stage, lights and kitchen together, with reserve, and every run covered or buried.
Warm light over the seating, tower lights on the approach and the parking, and a lit route to the washrooms.
Cover where the date needs it, levelling, and a firm floor under seating, dining and dancing.
Water brought for the caterer and the guests, and portable washrooms placed and serviced.
A route a tempo can take, a marked drop-off, and written directions because signal is unreliable here.
Frames out, cabling lifted, pegs pulled, waste taken away with us rather than left by the lake.
A full build with a view — structure, floor, power, light and mandap.
Evening functions where the lighting and the setting do most of the work.
Private functions at the farmhouses around the lake.
Day sessions and team events with shade, seating, power and activity zones.
Daytime gatherings with games, counters and a clear parking plan.
Outdoor functions in the cooler months, seated and unhurried.
Location setups for photography, with props, seating and power.
Daytime group events with shade, food counters and activities.
The setting is the reason to come here. Everything else arrives on a truck.
Most sites around the lake have little or none. A generator with headroom, water for the caterer and the guests, and serviced portable washrooms are not extras, they are the event. A quotation without them is incomplete.
The ground here holds water and the approach lanes soften in the monsoon. December to February is excellent, the shoulder months are fine with a proper floor, and July to September needs a very good reason. We will say so plainly.
Out here the car park is a field and the walk from it is genuinely dark. Tower lights along that route are the cheapest line on the quotation and the one guests mention.
Signal is patchy and a map pin is not enough. Written directions with landmarks, and a person at the turning if the guest list is large, prevents half your guests arriving late and annoyed.
This is a catchment area and a public amenity. Pegs, cabling, cable covers and every piece of waste goes out with us. Leaving it is not an option anybody should accept.
That search returns whoever advertises hardest in Khadakwasla, not whoever runs the better event. It is a starting list, and the sorting is still yours to do.
Compare the breakdown rather than the total, check the crew is theirs and not hired in, and ask what they have already done in Khadakwasla. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Usually very little and sometimes none. We bring a generator sized to the whole load — stage, lights and the caterer together — with reserve capacity, and it is quoted as its own line so you can see what it costs.
We would advise against it and we will say so plainly. The ground holds water and the approach lanes soften. December to February is excellent; the shoulder months work with a properly built floor; July to September needs a very good reason.
Yes, both, as separate lines on the quotation — portable washrooms placed and serviced, and water for the caterer and the guests. On a site with no facilities these are part of the event rather than extras.
No. We coordinate the caterer you choose — menus, timings, counters and service on the day — but we do not cook and we take no cut of the food bill. Out here we do plan their power and water, which is part of the infrastructure.
With written directions and landmarks sent in advance, not just a map pin, because signal is patchy. For a large guest list we put somebody at the turning.
Six to eight weeks at least, because the ground, the structure, the power and the facilities all have to be arranged. For a winter wedding date, earlier — the good weekends go months ahead.
Nobody awards that title, so it comes down to which team fits the event you are actually running. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles lakeside lawn weddings, outdoor receptions and farmhouse functions in Khadakwasla. The same crew covers Sinhagad Road and Kirkatwadi. Ask for the breakdown — décor, stage, sound, crew, transport — and compare like for like.
Look for a team that has already worked in Khadakwasla, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Khadakwasla with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
It moves with guest count, venue, the scale of décor and stage, and whether the date is in season. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Khadakwasla are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
