Dhanori is new townships and young families, and most of what happens here happens at home. We plan and set up baby showers, naming ceremonies, birthdays and anniversaries that look complete without a long list of extras.

Most celebrations in Dhanori are family-sized and happen in a flat or a society hall, with twenty to sixty people who all know each other. A cradle ceremony, a baby shower, a first birthday, a small naming function, an anniversary the children arrange for their parents. The occasion is personal, the space is the family's own home, and the budget is thought about carefully. That is a fair brief, and it deserves a proper plan rather than a cut-down one.
The way we treat it is simple. Put the effort into the two or three things every photograph will contain, and keep everything else clean and uncluttered. A well-made main corner in a modest flat looks far better than a little decoration spread thinly through four rooms, and it costs you less attention on the day too.
The area itself is new. Townships near the Lohegaon side are still filling up, lifts and access rules vary from building to building, and the airport's flight path runs overhead, which matters if there is a speech or music outdoors. We plan around all three instead of treating a flat like a hall.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
These are the parts we plan, set up and clear for celebrations across Dhanori.
A backdrop, balloon or floral wall built properly, positioned where the light and the photographs are best.
Cake table, name board, props and small details arranged so the whole table reads as one setup.
Cradle, puja and naming setups with a clear ritual space and seating for elders close by.
Furniture moved, clutter cleared and lighting adjusted so a living room photographs like a set.
Quiet setups finished before the priest, the guests or the neighbours' day begins.
Every balloon scrap, pin and packing sheet removed, so you are not cleaning up after your own party.
Daytime home or hall setups with a soft décor corner and a comfortable seat for the mother.
Small morning functions with a decorated cradle corner and space for elders to stand around.
A backdrop, cake table and photo corner sized for a living room, with everything cleared after.
Balloon and theme setups in the society hall, with simple games and prizes.
Quick, tidy builds for a new flat, finished before the muhurat and cleared soon after.
Evening setups arranged while the couple is out, with lighting and a décor corner.
Festival evenings and small cultural programmes with stage, sound and seating.
Tell us the date, the guest count, the budget and the feeling you want in the room. We ask the questions most people forget.

A home celebration does not need everything. It needs two or three things done properly and the rest kept clean. Here is how we decide what stays generous and what gets simplified, without the day looking thin.
| Part of the setup | Worth keeping generous | How to simplify it |
|---|---|---|
| Main corner | Yes, every photograph contains it | Nothing to cut here |
| Cake or ritual table | Yes, it is the second most photographed spot | Fewer props, arranged better |
| Entrance | A small welcome sets the tone | One arch or a name board, not both |
| Ceiling and side walls | Rarely noticed once guests arrive | Leave plain, move the effort to the corner |
| Lighting | Yes, it changes every photo | Two warm lights beat ten scattered ones |
| Fresh flowers | Use where guests come close | Mix with greens and fabric elsewhere |
| Props and extras | One good idea, done fully | Skip the small add-ons nobody remembers |
None of that is about doing less for its own sake. It is about putting the work where it is seen. Guests spend the afternoon looking at one wall, one table and each other, so those are the things that should be finished properly, and the money you would have spent on a second arch is better spent on the flowers that people will stand next to.
Morning functions are the tightest jobs in this kind of work. The ritual has an hour, elders arrive early, and the flat has to look finished before anyone walks in, so the build either happens the previous evening or very early the same morning. Either way it has to be quiet, because there are neighbours on both sides and above. We carry material up without blocking the lift for long, work without drilling into a single wall, and keep the kitchen route and the main door clear, since those are the two paths that get used all day. One practical request: clear the room the setup goes in the night before. A living room with the sofa still in the middle costs us the first half hour, and that is the half hour the flowers wanted.
Buildings here are recent, so lifts, power and clean common areas are usually fine. What varies is the rules. Ask your society whether goods may travel in the passenger lift or only in a service lift, whether there is a time window for material entry, whether visitors need to be listed at the gate in advance, and what the deposit and clean-up conditions are if you are using the hall. If the society hall is booked, the party room, the terrace where allowed, or simply the flat itself are the honest alternatives for this size of gathering. Check the lift dimensions too, because a backdrop frame that will not stand upright in a lift has to be carried up the stairs, and that adds an hour nobody planned for. Tell us the floor and the lift size on the first call and the panels are cut to suit. One more local point: the flight path runs over this side, so if a speech, a ritual chant or music is happening on a terrace or balcony, plan for a pause rather than turning the volume up. Read our baby shower, dohale jevan and birthday decoration pages, or send your date from the contact page.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Yes, home celebrations are most of what we do here and they are planned the same way a larger event is: a site visit, a written proposal and one planner who stays with you. Dhanori is inside our regular working area, so there is no travel charge, and the crew arrives with enough time to finish before your guests do.
Put everything into one main corner and keep the rest clean. A well-built backdrop, a properly styled cake or ritual table and two warm lights will carry every photograph of the day. Spreading small decorations across four rooms costs more attention and shows less. We will tell you plainly which parts of a quote are doing real work.
Yes. We either build the previous evening where the society allows goods movement, or start very early the same day. The work is kept quiet for the neighbours, nothing is drilled, and the kitchen route and main door stay clear. Clear the room the night before and the setup is finished well before the elders arrive.
For a gathering of this size, the flat itself is usually the best answer, and it photographs better than a plain hall. Other options are the smaller party room, the terrace where your society permits it, or a neighbouring society's hall. Tell us early and we will look at the room you have and design to its light and layout.
Two to three weeks is enough for a home baby shower, naming ceremony or birthday, and four to six weeks for a society hall function or a larger gathering. Weekend mornings and festival dates fill first. If your date is close, tell us anyway, because a simple setup can often be arranged in a few days.
