Lohegaon sits beside the airport, which sets one rule nobody else in Pune has to think about: nothing tall, nothing released into the air, no drone without clearance. Everything else is ordinary.
Lohegaon is the belt immediately around the airport — a mix of older village core, newer societies and open land, with services housing nearby. The function calendar is the ordinary one: weddings and receptions in the halls, society annual days, Ganpati, Navratri, naming ceremonies and birthdays, plus open-ground builds where the land allows.
What is not ordinary is the airspace. Next to an operational runway there are limits on how tall anything may be put up, and a hard stop on anything released upwards. Sky lanterns are out — not as a formality but because they are a genuine hazard to aircraft. Drones need clearance rather than confidence. Searchlights and beams aimed at the sky do not belong here either.
We check with the venue and the authority before approving a design rather than building and hoping, and we will say no where the answer is no. Everything else about working here is straightforward — access is decent, the societies are organised, and halls are available without the seasonal scramble of the centre.

A full build on bare land — structure, floor, power, light and mandap.
Evening functions with a stage, entrance and seating sized to the venue.
A stage, sound and a children's programme for the whole building.
Ten days of decoration, a daily aarti and an immersion to plan for.
Nine nights with flooring, lighting and sound.
Daytime functions in a flat, set up and struck in one morning.
Children's and milestone birthdays, in a clubhouse, a hall or at home.
Halls, societies and open ground, inside the airspace rules.
What may be put up and how tall, confirmed with the venue and the authority before a design is approved.
Built to the permitted height and the hall's session, in sections that go up and come down fast.
Warm ground and façade lighting rather than beams aimed at the sky — and it photographs better.
Levelling, flooring, structure, a generator with reserve and tower lights on the approach.
Pujas, naming days, annual days and Ganpati, built to the family's or the committee's requirements.
Frames down, waste carried away with us, hall or ground handed back as we found it.
Almost everything here is normal. The exceptions are worth knowing before anything is promised to the family.
Tall entrance gates, high mandap spires and anything on a mast may be restricted depending on exactly where the venue sits. The venue will know; where it does not, the authority does. We ask rather than build and hope.
Beside a runway they are a genuine hazard, not a formality, and the same goes for anything else released into the air. If a decorator or photographer has already promised them, that promise needs withdrawing early rather than on the night.
Your photographer may fly routinely elsewhere. Here it requires permission and the permission takes time. Decide early whether the aerial shot is worth the paperwork.
Sky beams and searchlights are the other common wedding item that does not belong here. Good ground and façade lighting looks better in photographs anyway, and needs nobody's permission.
Vehicle access is reasonable, societies are organised, and halls are available without the seasonal scramble of central Pune. Once the airspace question is settled, this is a straightforward area to build in.
Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
Three questions separate the shortlist quickly: has the team worked in Lohegaon before, is the quotation itemised, and who is physically on site on the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Yes, and they are real. There are height limits near an operational runway, sky lanterns are out, drones need clearance rather than confidence, and beams aimed upwards are not appropriate. We check with the venue and the authority before approving a design, and we will tell you plainly if something cannot be done.
Only with clearance, and that takes time to obtain. Decide early. We would rather you knew at the planning stage than have a crew arrive with equipment they are not allowed to fly.
Yes, within the height rules. It is quoted in two halves — infrastructure (levelling, flooring, power, lighting, water) and then the event — because the first is what makes the second possible.
No. We coordinate the caterer you choose — menus, timings, counters and service on the day — but we do not cook and we take no cut of the food bill.
Whatever the hall or your society says, and most here say ten. Loudspeakers are in any case not permitted anywhere in Pune between ten at night and six in the morning except on the days the state exempts.
Three to four weeks for a hall or society function. Six to eight for an open-ground build. The height check is worth starting at the same time as the venue booking.
It is worth treating that search as a shortlist, not an answer — no one certifies a best. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles hall weddings, open-ground weddings and receptions in Lohegaon. The same crew covers Dhanori and Vishrantwadi. Ask what happens to the price when a number moves; a single figure tells you nothing.
The shortlist worth having is teams who have set up in Lohegaon before; venue quirks are the part nobody writes in a quotation. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Lohegaon with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
There is no standard rate — the cost follows the guest count, the venue, how much décor and stage you want, and the date. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Lohegaon are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
