Start with a list of functions and a photo of each venue. Décor is decided by the space, the time of day and what happens in that function, and a decorator can only design well once those three are known.
Pick two or three base colours for the whole wedding and let each function lean one way. A haldi can be all yellow and marigold, the mehendi can add pinks and greens, the pheras can go soft and floral, and the reception can take the deepest shade with more lighting. Guests will not notice the plan, but your photographs will look like one wedding.

Ask what is fresh and what is artificial, how long setup takes, who will be on site on the day, and whether dismantling is included. Compare itemised quotes, not totals.
