Space and slot
Atrium, concourse or kiosk, chosen against the footfall route and the day parts that matter for your product.

An atrium looks like open floor. It comes with a rate card, a build window at night, a sound limit, a rigging policy and a list of what the mall will not let you say or play.
Not on the design. On the slot, the day part and the promoter. A beautiful kiosk on a Tuesday morning in a quiet wing will take fewer leads than a plain one placed on the Saturday evening route between the food court and the cinema.
We buy the space with that in mind, build inside the mall’s night window, and brief the promoters on one sentence they can actually say to a stranger. Then we count what happened rather than describing it.
A mall activation is a cousin of a BTL activation, but the mall is a landlord with rules, which makes it a different job from a roadshow or a society canopy.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
The mall decides half of this before you design anything.
Atrium, concourse or kiosk, chosen against the footfall route and the day parts that matter for your product.
Rate card, dates, exclusivity in your category, and written clearance on sound limits, rigging, sampling and electrical load.
A structure that goes up and comes down inside the night window, is freestanding where rigging is refused, and survives being walked past for a week.
Recruited, trained on a single pitch and a short objection answer, supervised on shift, and rostered for the busy hours rather than evenly.
A reason to stop that works in five seconds — a demo, a game, a photo moment or a sample — rather than a brochure held out at arm’s length.
Leads captured on a device, daily reconciliation against mall footfall, and a closing report with the numbers rather than adjectives.
The big central space, best for a launch or a weekend push.
Small, long-running, placed on a walking route.
Works where the product does something a passer-by can see in ten seconds.
Fast, high-volume, and bound by the mall’s rules on food and waste.
A crowd-builder; the prize structure decides whether the leads are real.
A set people queue for and post, which buys reach beyond the mall.
An atrium presence pulling traffic to a new store in the same mall.
Diwali and New Year weekends, booked months ahead because the good slots go early.
Six answers. Every one of them has forced a redesign for somebody.
Weekend evenings are several times a weekday morning. The rate card reflects it, and a cheap midweek slot is only cheap if your product sells to the people who are there midweek.
Many malls refuse ceiling loads outright, which means a freestanding structure and a different look. Ask before the render is approved, not after.
There is a decibel limit and usually a rule about announcements. An activation built around an anchor with a mic sometimes cannot have one.
Food sampling has its own clearance and its own waste requirement. Cooking on the floor is usually refused.
Worth asking for in writing. Sharing a weekend with a direct competitor two floors up halves the value of the slot.
Usually after closing, often a few hours. That dictates how the structure is made — modular, carried in a lift, assembled by a crew that has done it before.

Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
Ask for an itemised scope, ask who is on site on the day, and ask what they have set up in Pune already. The answers sort a list of ten down to two. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Through the mall’s marketing team, against a rate card that varies by space, by date and by day of the week. Festive and weekend slots in the larger malls are taken months ahead. We negotiate the dates, the category exclusivity and the written clearances as one conversation rather than booking first and asking later.
The space is usually the largest line, then fabrication, then the promoter team for the number of days. Weekend and festive dates cost materially more than weekdays. We itemise the three separately so you can see what moves when the dates change.
Often not. Many malls refuse any ceiling load, so the build has to be freestanding and weighted. We confirm the policy before anything is designed, because it changes both the look and the cost.
From the day parts rather than the day count — more on Saturday evening than on Tuesday morning, with a supervisor on every shift. A roster spread evenly across opening hours wastes most of its budget on the quiet ones.
Captured on a device at the point of conversation and reconciled daily against mall footfall, so you can see conversion rather than a total. The closing report carries the numbers by day and day part, which is what tells you whether to book the slot again.
The work is similar; the landlord is not. A mall has a rate card, a night build window, sound and rigging policies and a security team. A society, a market or a roadshow stop has none of those, and a plan written for one does not transfer to the other.
Nobody awards that title, so it comes down to which team fits the event you are actually running. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles atrium activation, kiosk or cart and product demo in Pune. Ask to see work from the same kind of event, not a showreel of somebody else's.
Look for a team that has already worked in Pune, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
It moves with guest count, venue, the scale of décor and stage, and whether the date is in season. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
