Cut lettering is vinyl with the background taken away, so a name or logo sits on the glass or wall as if it were painted there. It is the quietest kind of branding, and the one that shows every shortcut.

Need a name on the glass? Call us.
Send a photo of the glass or wall and the text you want - you get sizes and an itemised quote back.
Cut vinyl lettering is solid-colour vinyl cut along the outline of each letter by a plotter, with everything around the letters peeled away. What goes on the surface is only the text or the logo itself, held in position by a transfer tape until it is pressed down.
Choose it when you want the surface to show through: a shop name on clear glass, opening hours on a door, a company name on a reception wall, room names on cabin glass, or a name on a car. A printed sticker would put a rectangle of film behind the words; cut lettering leaves no edge at all.
It is not the right choice for photographs, gradients or very fine type. Thin strokes below a few millimetres lift when they are weeded, and a gradient cannot be cut. For those we print instead and contour-cut the print, and we will tell you which one your artwork needs.
Design work and illustrations of each stage of a print job. Photos of finished installations are added as jobs are shot.
The two steps people skip - weeding and alignment - are the ones you see from the street.
Vector file, stroke thickness and letter spacing checked so nothing breaks when it is weeded.
Solid vinyl matched to your brand colour, including white, black, gold and frosted.
Each letter cut along its outline, inside counters included, at the size the site needs.
The background removed by hand so only the letters stay on the backing.
Measured, levelled and marked on the surface before the backing comes off.
Pressed down through transfer tape, the tape lifted, edges checked one by one.
Cut lettering looks simple, which is why it is so often done badly. These are the five decisions that decide whether it looks painted on or stuck on.
Lettering on the outside of glass is crisper but takes rain, dust and cleaning. Fitted from the inside, mirror-cut so it reads correctly from the street, it lasts far longer and cannot be picked at. For a shopfront on a busy road we usually recommend inside.
Every letter is weeded by hand, and strokes that are too thin tear or lift. Script fonts and small taglines are where this bites. If your logo has a hairline, we will either thicken it slightly or print and contour-cut that part.
White lettering on clear glass vanishes against a bright interior during the day. Gold reads as brown at a distance. Check the glass at the time of day your customers pass, and choose the colour for that view, not for the sample swatch.
A name that has to be read from across the road needs far bigger letters than one read at the door. We size from where your customer stands, which is the step most often guessed.
Cut vinyl wants clean, smooth, fully cured surfaces. Glass needs old adhesive and grease removed; painted walls need two to three weeks after painting. A textured wall is the wrong surface - acrylic letters suit it better, and we will say so. See vinyl printing for printed jobs and acrylic letters for raised ones.
Most people start here with a search rather than a recommendation, and the first results are the ones paying for the position or carrying the most reviews. Neither tells you whether a team has set up in a hall like yours.
Compare the breakdown rather than the total, check the crew is theirs and not hired in, and ask what they have already done in Pune. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Cut vinyl lettering is solid-colour vinyl cut along each letter's outline, with the background removed, so only the text or logo sits on the surface. It is used for shop glass, door timings, reception walls, cabin names and vehicles, where you want the surface to show through instead of a rectangle of sticker film.
A printed sticker carries its design on a piece of film, so the film's edge shows around the artwork. Cut lettering has no film around the letters at all. Printing suits photographs and gradients; cut lettering suits names, logos and text in solid colours.
Yes. We cut it mirror-reversed and fit it from inside, so it reads correctly from the street. Inside lettering stays out of rain, dust and cleaning, and cannot be picked at, so it lasts noticeably longer on a busy road.
Two- and three-colour logos can be cut as layers and stacked precisely. Logos with gradients, shadows or photographs cannot be cut; those are printed on vinyl and contour-cut to the outline instead, and we will tell you which your artwork needs.
A vector file - AI, CDR, PDF or SVG - so every letter has a clean outline to cut along. If you only have an image, the logo needs redrawing as vectors first; we can arrange that through our graphic design team before cutting.
Indoors, for years. Outdoors in direct Pune sun, the colour and adhesive weaken over time, which is why we suggest fitting shopfront lettering from inside the glass wherever the glass allows it.
Reviews and ads decide who appears first, not who runs the better event. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles shop glass names, door timings and reception walls in Pune. Ask for the breakdown — décor, stage, sound, crew, transport — and compare like for like.
Look for a team that has already worked in Pune, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
It moves with guest count, venue, the scale of décor and stage, and whether the date is in season. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
