Laser cutting

This is the first thing worth knowing, because it changes how you design the name. A long word in tall letters is a different order of cost from a short one, and the thickness matters as much as the height.
Depth, edge quality and a premium read. Acrylic is a solid sheet, laser cut, so a letter has a clean polished edge and real thickness — which is why acrylic letters look expensive from a metre away and a printed board does not.
There are three common builds. Flat acrylic panel: a printed or vinyl-faced sheet mounted on standoffs, which throws a shadow and lifts the whole thing off the wall. 3D cut letters: each letter cut individually and mounted separately, which is the premium reception-wall look. Acrylic LED board: an acrylic face over an LED box, which is the lit version and overlaps with a glow sign board.
And the lighting choice: front-lit so the face glows, or halo-lit so light spills behind each letter onto the wall. Halo lighting on a dark wall is the most photographed signage effect there is, and it needs the letters standing off the wall by the right distance to work.
Mounting is where acrylic jobs are won or ruined.
Each letter cut from solid sheet with a polished edge, in the thickness the height needs.
Clear, frosted, painted, mirror or vinyl-faced, with the edge left clear or matched to the face.
Front-lit face, halo backlighting onto the wall, or no lighting at all — decided with the wall colour in mind.
A drilled paper template so the letters go up level and evenly spaced the first time.
Metal spacers at the right depth — too close and a halo disappears, too far and letters look detached.
Drilled, levelled, cables concealed behind the letters, and the wall left clean.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
3D letters with a company logo, the standard office entrance job.
An acrylic face over an LED box, lit from inside.
Backlit letters standing off the wall so light spills behind them.
A single mounted panel, for clinics, chambers and offices.
Individual letters across a frontage, often over a glow box.
Transparent sheet with cut vinyl, so the wall shows through around the text.
Small acrylic plates for rooms, floors and departments.
Laser-cut acrylic pieces, usually for an award night.
Acrylic is unforgiving because every mistake is visible and permanent. Five things.
A letter twice as tall needs more than twice the stiffness. Thin acrylic in a large letter bows off the wall at the middle, and the bow is obvious in side light. Letter height decides thickness, not budget.
A fine, elegant typeface cut into acrylic has strokes that snap in handling and installation — the crossbar of an A, the tail of a Q. Either the thickness goes up or the type gets adjusted, and that decision belongs in the drawing stage.
Too close to the wall and there is no glow, too far and the letters look like they are floating off. The distance depends on letter depth and wall colour — a dark wall shows halo beautifully, a white one barely shows it at all. Worth a mock-up before committing.
Letters mounted by eye end up with uneven gaps and a slight slope that you cannot unsee. A drilled template takes twenty minutes and is the difference between signage and a DIY job.
A clear polished edge on a white letter catches light and looks deliberate. On a black letter it looks like a mistake. The edge gets painted or left clear as a decision, not by default.

That search returns whoever advertises hardest in Pune, not whoever runs the better event. It is a starting list, and the sorting is still yours to do.
Compare the breakdown rather than the total, check the crew is theirs and not hired in, and ask what they have already done in Pune. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Signage made from solid laser-cut acrylic sheet, either as a flat mounted panel or as individual 3D letters. The polished cut edge and real thickness are what make it look premium, and it can be unlit, front-lit or halo-lit from behind.
Per letter, by height and thickness, rather than per square foot — which is why a long name in tall letters costs considerably more than a short one. Lighting, standoffs and installation are priced separately. Send the exact wording and the available width.
It follows letter height. Small letters are fine thin; large ones need more thickness or they bow off the wall in the middle, which is very visible in side light. Fine typefaces also need extra thickness because thin strokes snap during handling and mounting.
LEDs behind each letter throwing light onto the wall, so the letter reads dark with a glow around it. It is the most photographed signage effect there is. It needs the correct standoff distance, and it shows far better on a dark wall than a white one.
On most — brick, concrete, ACP, plaster, wood — with the right fixings. Hollow partition walls need anchors and sometimes a backing plate. We drill from a template so the letters line up level and evenly spaced on the first attempt, which hand-marking does not achieve.
Acrylic letters look premium and suit reception walls and quality frontages. A glow sign box is brighter, covers a larger area more cheaply and reads from further away at night. Many shop fronts use both: a lit box with acrylic letters over it.
Search results do not rank planners by quality, so the label is only ever someone's opinion. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles reception wall letters, acrylic led sign board and halo-lit letters in Pune. Ask for the breakdown — décor, stage, sound, crew, transport — and compare like for like.
Start with teams that already work in Pune — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
It moves with guest count, venue, the scale of décor and stage, and whether the date is in season. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.

Acrylic signage? Send the wording.
The exact text, the width available and a photo of the wall. Pricing is per letter, so the wording decides the number.
