In daylight almost any board looks acceptable. The one that earns its money is the one that is evenly lit after dark, with no bright patches, no dark corners and no visible LED strips through the face.
Four parts, and the price difference between two quotes is almost always in the second and third.
The frame — a fabricated box, usually aluminium or MS, that holds everything and takes the wall load. The face — acrylic for depth and a premium look, or translucent flex for a larger area at lower cost. The lighting — LED modules inside, and how many and how far apart they sit is what decides whether the board glows evenly or shows hot spots. The power — driver, wiring, and a switch or timer that somebody can actually reach.
A cheap board saves money on the LED count and the frame. You see the first one the night it is switched on, and the second one in the first monsoon when water gets in.

Acrylic, or translucent flex on a larger board, with the print set denser so it reads when lit from behind.
Module type and spacing worked out from the depth of the box, which is what prevents hot spots and dark corners.
Driver with headroom, proper wiring, earthing, and weather protection where the cable enters.
Switched on and looked at after dark before it is signed off, because that is when faults show.
Correct fixings for brick, concrete or ACP, cable run concealed, and the old board taken away.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
The standard retail board, acrylic face, over the shutter line.
Often warmer light and a more designed face, seen from a footpath.
Deeper, cleaner look, best where the board is close to the viewer.
Larger areas at lower cost, for buildings and first-floor frontages.
Readable from both directions along a road.
Smaller, more formal, often with multiple name plates.
Free-standing, for showrooms, hotels and petrol pumps.
Entrance boards with the building name lit at night.
Five questions. Ask them of anybody quoting you a board in Pune.
This is the question. A board with too few modules has bright patches above each one and dark bands between. It cannot be fixed afterwards without opening the face. Ask for the module count and spacing against the box depth — a shallow box needs more, more closely spaced.
Acrylic looks deeper and crisper and costs more; it suits boards seen from the footpath. Translucent flex covers a large area affordably and suits a first-floor or building-height board where nobody is standing a metre away. Either is right for the correct job.
Pune monsoon finds every unsealed joint. A board that fills with water shorts its driver and stains the face from the inside. Sealed joints and a drain path at the bottom are cheap at build time and the usual reason a two-year-old board looks terrible.
A driver run at its limit fails early, usually in the first hot May. Headroom costs very little. Ask for the rating and the warranty separately, because the LED warranty and the driver warranty are rarely the same.
Someone has to bring power to it, earth it and put a switch somewhere reachable. If that is excluded from the quote it will be a separate cost and a separate day. We include it or state clearly that we have not.

Most people start here with a search rather than a recommendation, and the first results are the ones paying for the position or carrying the most reviews. Neither tells you whether a team has set up in a hall like yours.
A team that has worked Pune knows the access, the power and the society timings. Ask for that, ask for the breakdown, and ask who runs the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

A fabricated box with a translucent face — acrylic or flex — lit from inside by LED modules, so the printed name and logo glow after dark. The frame, the face, the LED spacing and the driver are the four parts, and the LED spacing is what decides whether it looks good at night.
Priced per square foot of face, plus fabrication, LED and electrical work, plus installation. An acrylic face costs more than flex; a deeper box needs fewer LEDs than a shallow one for the same evenness. Send the size and we will quote the parts separately so you can see where the money goes.
Acrylic looks deeper and sharper and suits a board people stand near, such as a shop front or restaurant. Translucent flex covers a large area at lower cost and suits building-height or first-floor boards. Neither is better in general; they suit different distances.
Too few LED modules, or spacing too wide for the depth of the box. The light peaks above each module and dips between them. It cannot be corrected without opening the face, so the module count and spacing are the thing to agree before fabrication, not after.
If the frame joints are sealed and there is a drain path at the bottom, yes. Boards that fill with water short the driver and stain the face from inside, and that is the commonest reason a two-year-old board looks bad. Sealing costs very little at build time.
Yes — fixings suited to the wall, cable run concealed, driver mounted accessibly, earthing done, and a switch or timer somewhere staff can reach. We also remove the old board. If any of that is excluded we say so on the quote rather than leaving it to be discovered.
Search results do not rank planners by quality, so the label is only ever someone's opinion. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles shop front glow sign, restaurant and cafe sign and acrylic face board in Pune. Ask each name you shortlist for an itemised scope rather than one figure, and compare the same lines.
Start with teams that already work in Pune — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
There is no standard rate — the cost follows the guest count, the venue, how much décor and stage you want, and the date. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
