Glass sizes, frame rebate, whether the glass is toughened, and the eye-level height for a band.

A glass cabin with a blind is a dark cabin. Frosted film keeps the light and removes the view, which is why every office built with glass partitions ends up ordering it.
Frosted glass is etched or sandblasted at manufacture and cannot be changed. Frosted film is a self-adhesive layer applied to ordinary glass, costs a fraction as much, can be cut to any pattern, and can be removed when the office is reconfigured. For almost every commercial use, film is the sensible choice — and from a metre away nobody can tell which is which.
The useful part is that it does not have to be a plain sheet. It is commonly cut as a band at seated eye level, leaving clear glass above and below; or cut around a logo so the branding reads clear against frost; or as a pattern, gradient or dot fade. Those are the versions that look designed rather than merely practical.
And a safety point that gets forgotten: a full-height clear glass partition is something people walk into. A frosted band at chest height is a manifestation marker as well as privacy, which is why offices are expected to have one.
Bubbles and lifted edges are fitting faults, not film faults.
Glass sizes, frame rebate, whether the glass is toughened, and the eye-level height for a band.
Plain, band, logo cut-out, pattern or gradient, drawn to the actual panel size.
Patterns and logos cut on the plotter, weeded, and taped for transfer so nothing shifts.
Glass cleaned and degreased, old film and adhesive removed, surface left dry.
Wet-applied and squeegeed from the centre out so no air is trapped, edges trimmed into the rebate.
Looked at against the light before sign-off, because that is when a trapped bubble shows.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
The standard band at eye level across a glass partition.
Full or banded frost, often with the company logo cut in.
Full frost for complete privacy.
Privacy where confidentiality is a requirement rather than a preference.
The brand mark left clear against frost, or frosted against clear.
Dot fades, lines and geometric patterns for a designed look.
Staircase glass, balcony panels and door glass.
Bands and motifs on full-height glass so people do not walk into it.
Four decisions and one common mistake.
A band placed by eye usually ends up too low, which gives privacy to nobody sitting down and blocks the view for people standing. Measure from the floor to seated eye level in that room and set the band to cover it.
A logo cut out of frost reads clear against a frosted field — subtle and good at a reception. A frosted logo on clear glass reads the other way and is better where you want the branding to catch light. Both look deliberate; mixing them on adjacent panels does not.
This is the frequent mistake. Frost diffuses in both directions equally — it never shows a graphic one way and stays clear the other. That is one way vision, a different product.
Not an issue for frost, which is light-coloured, but worth knowing: dark solar films on untoughened glass in direct sun can cause thermal stress cracking. Frost does not trap much heat, so it is the safe option on existing glazing.
Film cut short of the frame leaves a visible clear line; film run up the frame lifts and collects dust. Trimmed into the rebate is what makes it look like glass rather than a sticker.
See one way vision for see-through graphics, vinyl for solid coverage, and wall branding for the rest of the office.
Most people start here with a search rather than a recommendation, and the first results are the ones paying for the position or carrying the most reviews. Neither tells you whether a team has set up in a hall like yours.
Three questions separate the shortlist quickly: has the team worked in Pune before, is the quotation itemised, and who is physically on site on the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
A self-adhesive translucent layer applied to ordinary glass that diffuses the view while letting light through. It costs a fraction of etched glass, can be cut to any pattern or logo, and can be removed later when the space is reconfigured.
Priced per square foot, with plain frost cheapest and cut designs charged for the cutting and weeding time on top. Fitting is quoted separately, and removal of old film is labour. Send the panel sizes and whether you want a band, a full sheet or a cut design.
Film, in almost every commercial case. It costs far less, can carry a pattern or logo, and is removable when the office changes. Etched glass is permanent and expensive, and from a metre away nobody can tell the difference between the two.
No, and this is the commonest misunderstanding. Frost diffuses equally in both directions — it never shows a graphic outside while staying clear inside. The product that does that is one way vision perforated film, which is different and has its own limitations after dark.
Set from seated eye level in that specific room, measured from the floor, so it covers the sightline of people sitting down. Bands placed by eye are usually too low, which gives no privacy to anybody seated and blocks the view for people standing.
Yes, either way round — the logo left clear against a frosted field, or frosted onto clear glass. The first is subtle and suits reception glass; the second catches light and reads more strongly. Keep one approach across adjacent panels so it looks deliberate.
There is no ranking that decides this, so the word means whichever team is right for your event. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles office cabin glass, meeting room glass and bathroom and shower glass in Pune. Ask who is on site on the day and who answers the phone if something slips.
Start with teams that already work in Pune — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
The number depends on guests, venue, décor and stage scale, and how close to the date you book. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
