Lighting
Strings, curtain lights, lamps and uplight, planned around the sockets that exist rather than the ones you wish existed.

Diwali decor has a short, fixed window and a hard deadline nobody can move. The work is getting it up before the first guests arrive, keeping it alight for a week, and taking it down without leaving marks on a freshly cleaned house.
A home is about the entrance and the lighting. The door, the balcony rail, the passage and the pooja corner. It goes up over a day and has to survive a week of people walking past it.
An office is about the reception and the common floor, done after hours so nobody loses a working day, and it has to look right in photographs because those go on the company's social accounts. The desk-level decoration people search for is a different, smaller job that staff usually do themselves.
A society is the largest: the gate, the lobby, the clubhouse and often a lighting run across the whole facade, agreed with a committee and paid from maintenance. For the evening itself — the games, the rangoli competition, the Diwali pahat — see Diwali party organisers.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
Listed by where a visitor meets them.
Strings, curtain lights, lamps and uplight, planned around the sockets that exist rather than the ones you wish existed.
Toran, marigold, a lit doorway and rangoli — the first thing anyone sees and the most photographed part.
A backdrop, lamps and a platform for the Lakshmi pooja, sized to the room rather than to a photograph.
Desk backdrop, lobby lighting and a corner people will stand in front of for the team photograph.
Gate, lobby, lift areas and clubhouse, with a lighting run that one timer can switch.
On an agreed date, with the lights coiled rather than cut and nothing left taped to a wall.
Door, balcony, passage and pooja corner — the common home job.
More outdoor run, usually a gate and a compound wall.
The entrance and lobby, done after hours before the working day.
Workstations, walkways and a photograph corner for the team.
The shared areas, agreed with the committee.
A run across the building, which is a height and power job.
Retail frontage for the festive buying weeks, which start before Dhanteras.
Decor for the society function, with the party run separately.
Five things, and the first is a date rather than an idea.
Every decorator and every crew in Pune is committed in the fortnight before Diwali, and the flower and lighting rates in the final week are not the rates of the month before. A setup arranged four days out is whatever is still free.
The commonest problem is a beautiful lighting plan and one socket on the balcony. Extension runs along a passage where people walk are both ugly and a trip hazard. We look at where power actually is before drawing anything, and plan the run from there.
Houses are cleaned and often painted before Diwali. Tape on fresh paint takes the paint, and a nail in a rented flat is the family's deposit. Everything goes on weighted stands, hooks that already exist, or removable clips.
The thing families and committees forget. Lights left up until January look tired by the second week, and somebody ends up on a ladder on a working morning. Agree the date in the quote and it simply happens.
Who approves, what the maintenance budget allows, which common areas are included, and whether the facade run needs permission. In a large society that conversation takes longer than the decoration does.

Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
Compare the breakdown rather than the total, check the crew is theirs and not hired in, and ask what they have already done in Pune. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Through Navratri, two to three weeks ahead. Crews and lighting stock are both committed in the fortnight before Diwali, and the rates in the final week are not the rates of the month before. A booking made four days out gets whatever is still free.
Yes, and an office is usually done after hours so no working day is lost — reception, lobby, walkways and a corner the team can be photographed in. Those photographs tend to be the point, so the lighting is planned for a camera rather than just for the eye.
Yes — gate, lobby, lift areas, clubhouse and a lighting run across the facade where the committee wants one. A facade run is a height and power job, so it needs the committee’s approval and a look at the building before it is quoted.
No. Homes are cleaned and often repainted before Diwali, so nothing is taped to fresh paint or nailed into a wall. Everything goes on weighted stands, existing hooks or removable clips, and that is worth asking any decorator directly.
We do, on a date agreed when you book. Left to drift, Diwali lighting stays up until it looks tired and then somebody is on a ladder on a working morning. Putting the take-down date in the quote is the simplest way to avoid that.
It follows how much lighting is run, the entrance work, whether there is a pooja corner or a photograph setup, the height and access, and how late it is booked. A flat entrance and a full society facade are very different jobs. Send photographs of the space and the date.
Nobody awards that title, so it comes down to which team fits the event you are actually running. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles flat and apartment, bungalow and row house and office reception in Pune. Ask who is on site on the day and who answers the phone if something slips.
Look for a team that has already worked in Pune, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
The number depends on guests, venue, décor and stage scale, and how close to the date you book. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.

Diwali coming? Send photos of the space.
The entrance, the balcony or the lobby, and the date you want it up. Earlier is genuinely cheaper here — both crew and lighting.
