Most of a Thane wedding happens inside a housing complex before it ever reaches a banquet. We plan from Pune, read the society's rules with you first, and design what the lift, the podium and the neighbours will actually allow.

A Thane wedding is usually two weddings sharing one guest list. The first happens where the family lives: a haldi on the podium garden, a mehendi in the clubhouse, a pooja in a flat on the fourteenth floor. The second happens at a lawn or a banquet and behaves like any other venue booking. Almost everything that goes wrong belongs to the first one.
The reason is that a housing complex is not a venue and was never built to be one. It has a managing committee with meeting dates of its own, a security desk that wants your guest list, a service lift with fixed internal dimensions, a podium slab sitting over parked cars with a load limit, water rules, sound rules, and neighbours who will be trying to sleep. Every one of those is a design constraint, and not one of them appears on a mood board.
We work out of Pune and travel across. What we bring to this is the habit of asking the dull questions first: what will the lift carry, what does the committee need in writing, how long may the décor stand, and who at the gate is holding the list.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
These are the pieces we plan and coordinate for a wedding in Thane.
The written request to your managing committee covering dates, hours, areas, sound, water and parking, drafted with you.
Mandap frames, backdrops and props broken into sections that fit the service lift and assemble upstairs.
The slab's limit checked before a stage is placed on it, with weight spread and cables kept off resident walkways.
One guest list with the security desk a day ahead, so nobody in your family is called to the gate every ten minutes.
Haldi, mehendi and pooja setups for podiums, clubhouses and flats, built and struck inside the allowed hours.
A coordinator on each function handling cues, vendor arrivals, payments and whatever changes at the last minute.
A bright morning haldi set inside the society's rules on water, drainage and noise.
Floor seating, music and working room for the artists, with the hall handed back clean.
Compact setups for rituals inside the home, built and cleared around the lift's free hours.
An open-air mandap and seating at a lawn venue, planned for wind, elders and a covered fallback.
Evening receptions with a photographable stage, counters and a greeting line that keeps moving.
Stage, sound and lights inside a hall, with rehearsal slots and a firm finishing time.
Ring ceremonies at a clubhouse or banquet, planned alongside the wedding calendar.
We list every function and decide which stay inside the complex and which move to a lawn or banquet.
You getA two-part calendar
We come across, measure the lift and podium, walk the shortlisted venue and help draft the committee request.
You getNumbers instead of assumptions
Décor is drawn to the lift, the slab and the allowed hours, then priced with the travel shown apart.
You getOne signed-off plan
Committee approval, the gate list, venue timings and vendor slots are all confirmed on paper.
You getA shared run-sheet
Each function is set up, run to time and cleared away before the complex goes to bed.
You getNeighbours left in peace
Write to your managing committee before you book anything else. In Thane the society's answer decides which functions can happen at home, and every design decision downstream depends on it.
Send a single written request with the dates, the hours each function will run, the number of visitors expected, the spaces you want to use, your sound plan and how parking will be handled. Then ask four things back: the latest hour décor may remain standing, whether water may be used freely for the haldi, how visitor parking is allotted on the day, and whether any charge or deposit applies. Committees meet on a cycle of their own, so a request sent late does not merely delay the décor. It can take the function out of the complex altogether.
This is the most useful half hour in the whole plan. Measure the lift's internal height, width and depth, and check which hours it is genuinely available to you, since residents are using it too. Anything larger than that has to be designed in sections and assembled on the podium or in the flat, which changes the material, the joints and the size of the crew. A mandap that was going to arrive whole is now a kit, and it is far cheaper to know that in week two than in the final week.
Podium gardens sit over parking, which means they carry a load limit that somebody in the building can tell you. Before a heavy stage, a water feature or a tall structure goes up there, ask for that figure and spread the weight rather than concentrating it in four points. Keep cable runs off the walkways residents use, and agree in advance where a generator may stand, because a podium is rarely the right place for one.
Your guests are somebody's neighbours for the day. Give the security desk one list the evening before, with vehicle numbers where you have them, so arrivals do not turn into a queue at the gate. Build early and strike the same night rather than leaving a half-dismantled haldi standing on the podium until morning. Two floors of goodwill is worth more than an extra hour of photographs. For the venue functions, remember that evening traffic here is heavy: a lawn twenty minutes away at noon is not twenty minutes away at seven, and the baraat has to leave accordingly.

The listings for Thane are ordered by ad spend and review count. Both are worth something, and neither answers whether the team has worked your kind of venue.
A team that has worked Thane knows the access, the power and the society timings. Ask for that, ask for the breakdown, and ask who runs the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

No. We work from a single office in Pune and travel across for the measurements, for the committee meeting if you want us there, and for every function. Nobody of ours lives in Thane. What you get instead is a team that puts the drive, the rooms and the days on site into the quote as separate lines, so the distance is visible rather than buried.
The dates, the hours each function runs, the visitor numbers, the spaces you want, your sound plan and the parking arrangement. Then four questions back: how late décor may stand, whether water may be used freely for the haldi, how visitor parking is allotted, and whether a deposit applies. We draft it with you, because committees meet on their own cycle.
Because it decides how the décor is built. Anything bigger than the lift's internal height, width and depth has to arrive as sections and be assembled upstairs, which changes materials, joints and crew size. Residents are using that lift too, so its free hours matter as much as its dimensions. Knowing this in week two is far cheaper than discovering it in the final week.
Sometimes, and only after somebody reads the load limit. A podium sits over parked cars, so the slab has a figure attached to it that the building can give you. We spread the weight instead of concentrating it, keep cables off resident walkways, and agree beforehand where a generator may stand, since a podium is rarely the right place for one.
Give the security desk one guest list the evening before, with vehicle numbers where you have them, so arrivals do not pile up at the gate. Build early and strike the same night rather than leaving a half-dismantled setup standing overnight. Keep the sound inside the agreed hours. Two floors of goodwill is worth more than an extra hour of photographs.
Earlier than the map suggests. Evening traffic here is heavy, so a lawn that is twenty minutes away at noon is nothing like twenty minutes away at seven. We time the departure backwards from the muhurat with a real buffer, fix the route and the band's finishing hour with the building, and keep somebody on the road updating the venue.
Nobody awards that title, so it comes down to which team fits the event you are actually running. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles podium garden haldi, clubhouse mehendi and flat pooja and rituals in Thane. The same crew covers Pune. Ask who is on site on the day and who answers the phone if something slips.
Look for a team that has already worked in Thane, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Thane with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
The number depends on guests, venue, décor and stage scale, and how close to the date you book. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Thane are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
