For a day outing, keep travel under two hours each way, or the day disappears on the road. The Mulshi and Panshet side works well for lakeside venues and is quick to reach from the western suburbs. Kamshet suits adventure-style outings with open ground. Lonavala has the widest choice of resorts with meeting halls and is easy for teams from both Pune and Mumbai.
