We organise leadership offsites for small senior teams from Pune. Quiet venues, a room set up for discussion rather than slides, travel and stay arranged, and a coordinator who stays outside the session while it runs.

A leadership offsite is a working session for a small senior group, held away from the office so that the hard questions actually get asked. Ten or twelve people, one or two days, and an agenda that ends in decisions rather than presentations. The logistics only matter because they protect the conversation.
That makes it a different job from a large team offsite. You are not booking activities for a hundred people. You are finding a property quiet enough that a discussion does not get interrupted, a room shaped so that everyone can see everyone, and a way to keep hotel staff, other guests and phones out of the way for a few hours at a time. Resorts in the Mulshi belt and the older properties towards Mahabaleshwar suit this well, because the drive is short and the grounds are calm.
We handle the venue search, the recce, travel and stay, the room set-up for each session, meal timing that fits your agenda and a coordinator who stays outside the door. What happens inside the room is yours.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
These are the parts we plan and run so your leadership team only has to think about the agenda.

Seating, boards, screens and light arranged to suit each session, and reset between them while you are on a break.
Everything your facilitator asks for, arranged in advance: boards, materials, breakout corners and a clean wall to work on.
Cars from Pune, room allocation, check-in timing and a plan for anyone joining a day late or leaving early.
Staff briefed on when not to enter, no photography during sessions, boards cleared and materials collected before housekeeping arrives.
One person outside the room the whole time, handling meals, timings and anything the group needs without walking in.
Tell us the date, the guest count, the budget and the feeling you want in the room. We ask the questions most people forget.

A leadership offsite succeeds or fails on one thing: whether the group says what it actually thinks. Everything an organiser does is in service of that. The venue, the room, the meal times and the phone rule all exist to remove the small interruptions that let a senior team stay polite and vague for two days.
Decide before booking anything whether this is a decision offsite, an alignment offsite or a repair offsite, because each needs a different day. A decision offsite needs pre-read material sent a week ahead and a short agenda with room to argue. An alignment offsite needs more small-group time and fewer items. A repair offsite, held after a difficult year or a change of structure, needs a facilitator and almost no slides at all.
The failure we see most often is an offsite agenda built like a conference agenda: nine items, each with a presenter and a deck. Senior people sit through it, nod, and go home. Three or four items with real discussion time will change more than nine that are only reported. Cut the agenda until it looks uncomfortably short, then add the breaks back.
The property that photographs well is rarely the right one for twelve people who need to concentrate. What matters is whether a wedding is booked in the next hall, whether the conference room shares a wall with the restaurant, whether the lawn is under a flight path, and how far the rooms are from the session space. Ask what else is on the property on your dates and get it in writing.
Drive time is the other filter. Somewhere within two to three hours of Pune means people arrive fresh and the first session starts on time. A longer drive eats the morning and makes anyone with an evening commitment restless. The Mulshi side and the older hill properties work for this, and coastal options are better for two nights than for one.
Most hotels default to a boardroom table, which suits only one kind of session. Tell the venue what you need for each block and have it reset during breaks.
| Session | Layout that works | Why | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening and framing | Circle of chairs, no table | Nobody hides behind a laptop, everyone speaks once | A room so large the circle feels scattered |
| Strategy discussion | U-shape or one round table | Every face is visible to every other face | A long rectangular table splits the group into two talks |
| Small group work | Three or four corners, a board each | Groups work without listening in on each other | Hard floors and glass walls that carry sound |
| Closed conversation | Small room, no corridor windows | People say the difficult thing out loud | Staff walking in with tea mid-sentence |
| Read-out and decisions | Chairs facing one wall and a screen | The decision gets written where everyone can see it | Daylight washing out the screen after midday |
| Evening | Outdoor seating, low light, no stage | The conversation carries on without a programme | Music loud enough to stop people talking |
Leaks at an offsite are almost never deliberate. They happen because a whiteboard was left standing when housekeeping came in, because a printed people-review sheet went into the hotel bin, or because someone photographed the room for a social post with a slide visible behind them. Decide the phone rule out loud at the start, give people a break where they can check messages, and agree who clears the boards before anyone leaves the room.
Tell us in advance if the offsite should be invisible: no signage, no branding at the entrance, no group photograph, and staff who do not enter without being called. It is easier to arrange than to undo.
For a larger team offsite, a day outing or a departmental retreat, our corporate offsite planner page covers destinations, group travel and the activity side. If you want structured exercises built into the agenda rather than open discussion, see team building activities.

A leadership offsite is a working session for a company's senior group, held away from the office so the difficult conversations actually happen. It usually runs one or two days with ten to fifteen people, a short agenda and time to argue. The output is a set of decisions with owners, not a deck. Logistics exist only to protect that discussion.
One full day works for a review or an alignment session, and two days with a night in between when you need decisions. The overnight matters more than the extra hours: the informal evening is where positions soften and people say what they held back. Anything beyond two days rarely adds value for a group at this level.
Group size, how far you travel, the number of nights and how exclusive the property needs to be. Asking for a quiet property with no other event running costs more than taking rooms in a busy resort. Travel from Pune, meal plan and whether you bring in a facilitator also move it. Share the dates and headcount for an itemised quote.
Within a two to three hour drive there are hill and lakeside properties that stay quiet on weekdays, and coastal options that suit a two-night offsite. The right choice depends on your dates, because a property that is calm on a Tuesday can have a wedding on Saturday. We check what else is booked before shortlisting anything for you.
We arrange one if you want an outside voice running the discussion, and we set the room up for whoever facilitates. Many leadership teams prefer one of their own to lead it, which works when that person is not also the main subject of the conversation. Tell us early, because a good facilitator needs the agenda well in advance.
By treating it as a logistics problem. No signage or branding at the venue, staff briefed not to enter without being called, no photography during sessions, boards cleared before housekeeping arrives and printed material collected rather than binned at the property. We also keep the coordinator outside the room, so nobody from our side hears the discussion.
Agree the rule out loud in the first ten minutes rather than banning anything by surprise. Most groups settle on phones face down during sessions, with a proper break every ninety minutes to clear messages. That works better than a box at the door, because a senior team with an unreachable hour gets anxious instead of engaged.
