Wakad celebrates inside the gate, so most balloon setups here go up in a flat or the society clubhouse. Send a photo of the wall and your booking slot, and we will size the backdrop to fit both.

Balloon decoration in Wakad almost always happens inside the society gate. The clubhouse, the community hall, the covered podium and your own flat are the four spaces we work in here, and each one comes with a committee, a slot and a list of rules. We plan the setup around those rules from the first message, so nothing has to be redesigned on the morning.
Wakad is a young-family belt, so the occasions repeat. A first birthday, a naming day, a toddler theme party, a welcome-home setup, a quiet anniversary evening at home. The setups that suit them are not big ones. One backdrop wall where the photos happen, a cake table in front of it, a foil name or age, and enough clear floor for a room full of relatives to stand and move about.
Timing is the part that is specific to Wakad. Plenty of bookings here are weekday evenings, because one parent gets back from the office belt at Hinjewadi only after six. We finish the build before that door opens, and where the hall slot is short we bring the backdrop in sections that go up fast.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
Pick the pieces you need; each one is built to your hall or your living room rather than to a stock photo.
A garland or cluster backdrop on free-standing frames, so nothing is drilled, nailed or taped to hall walls.
Age foil, a dressed cake table and a low photo corner a toddler can actually be sat in front of.
A half or full arch at the community hall door, weighted at the base so a passing crowd leaves it standing.
The setup planned to finish inside your booked hours, with the room usable before your first guest arrives.
Crew names, vehicle number and timings sent ahead in the format your managing committee asks for.
Balloons deflated, frames out and waste taken away before the hall is handed back for inspection.
Daytime clubhouse setups with an age foil, a low backdrop and a cake table at toddler height.
Colour-led backdrops with cut-outs and props, built to leave the hall floor free for games.
A quick, quiet build at home that is standing before the working parent gets back.
A soft pastel backdrop beside the puja area, with the seating for elders kept clear.
Entry balloons, a name board and a small backdrop for the day mother and baby come home.
A ring frame or heart arch with warm lights, built while you are out for dinner.
A balloon and drape corner beside the stage for families to photograph during the programme.
Weighted arches and clusters for the covered podium or society garden, with a rain plan.

In Wakad the balloon setup is decided by your society before it is decided by your theme. Once the hall slot, the fixing rules and the gate entry are settled, the design follows easily.
The hours printed on your booking form usually include setup and clear-up, not only the party. So the first question is what time the hall is genuinely free, and whether another booking sits immediately before yours. A backdrop wall with an entry arch and a dressed cake table takes a good part of a morning to build properly, and stripping it afterwards takes time as well. Two committee rules then shape the build itself. Most societies allow nothing drilled, nailed or taped to hall walls and ceilings, so we work on free-standing frames with weighted bases and hang nothing from a false ceiling. And the deposit comes back after an inspection, which means every burst balloon, offcut and length of tape has to leave with us. Send the booking letter when you enquire and we plan the slot backwards from it.
The gate is the thing people forget. A team arriving with frames, boxes and an inflator needs names, a vehicle number and a time left at security beforehand, or the build starts late while the guard makes calls.
Home setups are half of what we do in Wakad, and a flat gives you fewer choices than a hall, which is useful because it settles the design fast. Here is where a setup usually goes, and what needs moving before the team arrives.
| Spot in the flat | What fits there | Clear this first |
|---|---|---|
| Main living room wall | Garland backdrop with a foil name or age | Frames, wall clock, loose television cables |
| Sofa or seating corner | Low cluster and hanging strings | Cushions and the side table |
| Dining table | Cake table dressing and a table cluster | Everything that is not the cake |
| Door between rooms | Half arch or a balloon door frame | Door stopper and shoe rack |
| Balcony or dry balcony | Fairy lights and a compact backdrop | Drying rack and plants you want kept safe |
| Entrance passage | Welcome balloons and a name board | Footwear and the umbrella stand |
Tell us the floor and the lift size when you send the photo. If goods are not allowed in the passenger lift, we carry the backdrop up in sections and build it in the room rather than walking a finished arch up five flights.
Weekday evening bookings are normal here, and they change the timing more than the design. Many Wakad families have one parent working in the technology park belt nearby, so the party starts late and the surprise has to be standing before that door opens. We finish with time in hand rather than to the minute. Loaded vehicles are the other half of it, because the bridge over the river and the junction beyond it clog during the office flow, so material crosses mid-morning or early afternoon and waits at the venue instead of in traffic. From June to September anything on the podium or the society garden needs a cover, matting underfoot and an indoor wall held in reserve.
Clear-up is part of the booking rather than an afterthought. In a clubhouse the setup comes down the same night, because the hall is inspected before your deposit is released and another family may have the morning slot. Deflating balloons is quieter, quicker and safer around sleeping children than popping them, so that is how we strip a setup. At home you can keep the decor for a few days and we return for it. For the full range of backdrops and foil work see balloon decoration in Pune. If you want the games, the anchor and the cake moment handled too, read event management in Wakad and the birthday party themes gallery, then send your date and hall slot from the contact page.
That search returns whoever advertises hardest in Wakad, not whoever runs the better event. It is a starting list, and the sorting is still yours to do.
Three questions separate the shortlist quickly: has the team worked in Wakad before, is the quotation itemised, and who is physically on site on the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.

Yes, clubhouse and community hall setups are most of our Wakad work. Send the booking letter so we can read the hours, the fixing rules and the sound cut-off. We build on free-standing frames so nothing is drilled or taped, leave the crew names at the gate in advance, and strip the hall the same night before inspection.
Plan for a good part of your booked hours to go on the build. A backdrop wall with an entry arch, foil numbers and a dressed cake table needs most of a morning, and stripping it afterwards needs a further slot before the hall is handed over. Tell us when guests arrive and we work backwards from that.
Yes, and weekday evening builds are common here. We agree a window while the flat is empty, or while one of you keeps the birthday person out, then build quietly and finish before the door opens. Give us the floor number, the lift size and someone who can let the team in. Packing material stays out of sight.
Cost moves with the width of the backdrop and the balloon count, foil letters and numbers against plain latex, the height of the setup, whether it is one flat wall or a full hall with an entry arch, the slot you need the team in, and whether we return the same night to strip it. Send your date and space for an itemised quote.
Yes. Most flats here give one good wall, and that is where the backdrop, the foil name and the cake table go. We need the floor number, the lift size and whether goods may travel in the passenger lift, because that decides whether a backdrop arrives whole or in sections. Move breakables away from that wall beforehand.
Yes, handing the space back tidy is part of the job. We deflate rather than burst the balloons, collect offcuts as we work instead of at the end, carry the frames and packing out with us, and leave the floor swept. Tell us what your committee checks at inspection and we will make sure that list is covered.
Reviews and ads decide who appears first, not who runs the better event. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles first birthday at the hall, theme birthday for older kids and weekday evening birthday in Wakad. The same crew covers Pune. Ask what happens to the price when a number moves; a single figure tells you nothing.
Look for a team that has already worked in Wakad, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Wakad with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
There is no standard rate — the cost follows the guest count, the venue, how much décor and stage you want, and the date. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Wakad are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
