Site survey
Shortlist with photographs from the approach, not a list of addresses.

Two hoardings on the same road at the same monthly rate can deliver completely different value. Which side of the road, which direction traffic flows, how long the approach is, and whether anything blocks it at eye level — that is what you are actually paying for.
Not the size. The approach.
A hoarding is read by someone moving. What matters is how many seconds they can see it before they pass — which depends on the length of clear approach, the angle to the traffic, whether it faces the flow or sits side-on, and the speed of the road. A panel with a two-hundred-metre straight approach on the driver's side is worth several times one tucked at a bend, at the same rate.
Then the practical ones: what is in front of it at eye level — a tree in monsoon leaf, a new signboard, a bus shelter; whether it is lit after dark, which doubles the usable hours on a commuter route; and whether the site has valid municipal permission, because an illegal hoarding gets taken down with your campaign on it.
The last line is the one agencies most often skip.
Shortlist with photographs from the approach, not a list of addresses.
Rate negotiated, duration agreed, and the site held in writing before artwork is made.
The site’s municipal permission verified, so your campaign is not on an illegal structure.
Printed on heavy flex, tiled and colour-matched, with reinforced eyelets for span and wind.
Fitted and tensioned, usually overnight or early morning depending on the road.
Dated photographs after mounting and again mid-term, so you know it is still up.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
The standard unipole or wall-mounted panel on an arterial road.
Single-pole, high, usually on highways and large junctions.
Spanning the road, read head-on, the highest-value and highest-rate format.
Large format on a building face, for launches and high-impact bursts.
A run of small panels along a road, bought as a set.
Eye level, read by waiting commuters rather than passing traffic.
Inside residential complexes and malls, a captive audience.
Pune–Mumbai, Pune–Bangalore and Nashik routes, for reach rather than frequency.
Six checks. The first three cost nothing and most buyers skip them.
Morning commute and nine at night are different places. A site that photographs well at noon can be in shadow at six, or blocked by parked buses at the only hour that matters.
Not from the footpath. Sit in a car on that road, in the lane traffic actually uses, and count the seconds you can read it. Under two and the panel needs almost no words on it.
Trees fill out in monsoon. New hoardings go up. A site clear in April can be half-hidden in August, and the rate does not change.
On a commuter route, unlit means losing the entire evening flow. Lighting is often an add-on rather than included, so confirm which you are buying and what the extra costs.
Illegal hoardings in Pune do get removed, mid-campaign, with your artwork on them. Ask for the site's permission documents before you pay. A vendor who cannot produce them is selling you a risk.
Dated photographs after mounting and again partway through. It is standard practice, it is cheap, and without it you are taking the vendor's word that your panel is up and intact.
Also: write less. A hoarding read in two seconds holds about six words. See advertising, flex printing for the panel, and bus advertising for moving media.
Nobody ranks planners on how their events went. What the results rank is visibility, which is why the shortlist matters more than the order it arrives in.
Three questions separate the shortlist quickly: has the team worked in Pune before, is the quotation itemised, and who is physically on site on the day. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Quoted per site per month, and they vary enormously — by road, by direction of traffic, by whether the site is lit, and by format, with gantries highest and pole kiosks lowest. Tell us the areas and the duration and we will come back with a shortlist with photographs and rates against each.
The approach. How many seconds a moving viewer can read it, which depends on clear approach length, the angle to traffic, which side of the road it is on and the road speed. A long straight approach on the driver’s side is worth several times a site at a bend at the same rate.
Yes — heavy-grade flex, tiled and colour-matched in one run, reinforced eyelets for span and wind, fitted and tensioned. Having the printing in house matters here because a panel damaged in mounting can be reprinted the same week rather than renegotiated.
Sites need valid permission, and illegal hoardings in Pune do get removed mid-campaign with the advertiser’s artwork on them. We verify the permission documents for a site before you commit. Any vendor who cannot produce them is selling you a risk rather than a site.
Dated photographs after mounting and again partway through the booking. This is standard practice and costs nothing, and without it you are relying on the vendor’s word that the panel is up, undamaged and not covered by somebody else’s.
About six words. A viewer at road speed gets one to three seconds, which is one short line and a logo. The commonest waste in outdoor advertising is a hoarding carrying a paragraph that nobody has time to read.
Search results do not rank planners by quality, so the label is only ever someone's opinion. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles road-side hoarding, unipole and gantry in Pune. Ask what happens to the price when a number moves; a single figure tells you nothing.
Start with teams that already work in Pune — they know the venues, the loading access and the society rules, which is where most local jobs go wrong. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
There is no standard rate — the cost follows the guest count, the venue, how much décor and stage you want, and the date. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
