Keyword and intent research
The phrases buyers use, sorted by whether the person is ready to act or still reading around the subject.

Somebody typing your service into Google has already decided they want it. The entire job is making sure your money reaches those people and not the thousands of searches that merely look similar.
Search is the one channel where the buyer speaks first. They type what they want, and you decide whether it is worth paying to be there. That makes it the least wasteful place to put money and the easiest place to lose it, because the same few words get typed by a person holding a credit card and by a student writing an assignment.
All of our work sits in that gap. The keyword list is built from how buyers really phrase things, match types are chosen on purpose instead of being left wide open, and the report of actual searches gets read every week so the useless ones can be blocked before they cost you again. The ad then has to promise exactly what the page behind it delivers, or you have paid for a visitor who leaves in a second.
After that it is bookkeeping. Calls, forms and messages are recorded against the search that caused them, so the conversation becomes about enquiries received rather than clicks bought.
Every one of these exists to stop money reaching a search that was never going to buy.

Campaigns and groups split so each ad answers one search closely, instead of half-answering several at once.
A block list grown from the searches that really triggered your ads, reviewed and extended every week.
The page behind the click repeats what the ad promised and offers one obvious thing to do next.

Google Ads is a market for intent. You are not buying attention; you are buying the moment somebody has already decided to look. Media you book by site, edition or airtime, meaning hoardings, print, radio and exhibition space, is covered on our advertising agency in Pune page. Nothing here works like that, and the two should never be judged by the same yardstick.
Two people can type nearly the same words and be worth wildly different amounts. One wants a supplier this afternoon; the other is comparing careers, or looking for a free template, or hunting for somebody to repair what you sell new. Before a campaign is built, every phrase gets sorted into buying, comparing or merely reading. Buying phrases get proper money and their own pages. Comparing phrases get a smaller share and a page that answers objections. Reading phrases get nothing at all from the advertising budget.
Match type is the tap that controls how far Google may wander from the words you chose. Leaving everything open is the single commonest way small accounts lose money in their first month.
| What you add | What it can let in | What the block list must catch |
|---|---|---|
| Plain words, left wide open | Anything judged related, including courses, jobs and repairs of other things | Course, salary, job, free, training, second hand, do it yourself |
| A phrase in quotation marks | Searches containing that phrase, with words added before or after | Cheap, near me in places you do not cover, and rival names |
| An exact phrase in brackets | That search and very close variants of it, and little else | Less, though plurals and common misspellings still need watching |
| Your own business name | People already looking for you, plus anyone else bidding on it | Nothing, but measure it apart from everything else or it flatters the account |
| A rival's name | People comparing, and people who wanted them and not you | Keep it in a campaign of its own, and expect to pay more per visit |
| Model or product codes | Buyers deep in research, usually checking price and availability | Review, manual, spare part, repair, if you only sell new goods |
An account that has been running honestly for a year is worth something mainly because of the list of searches it has learned to refuse. Read the search terms report weekly at first. Every entry that could never have become a customer goes on the list, and lists get shared across campaigns so a lesson is learned once. This is unglamorous work and it is where most of the savings live. A firm in Shivajinagar advertising one narrow service can easily find that a large slice of its early traffic came from words it never chose. Keep a copy of the list somewhere outside the account as well, because accounts get rebuilt and a hard-won lesson should survive the rebuild.
A click is a promise, and the page has to keep it. If the ad names a service and a place, the page should open with that service and that place, not with a company history. One offer, one form, a phone number that works with a tap, and no navigation tempting people elsewhere. Sending every campaign to the home page is the most expensive shortcut in advertising: the visitor arrives, cannot see what they searched for, and leaves while you are still being charged. Loading speed belongs in the same paragraph, because a page that dawdles on mobile data loses the very people you have already paid to bring.
Clicks and impressions are not results, and an account can look busy while producing nothing. Track calls, forms and messages back to the search that caused them, then look at what each enquiry cost and which of them turned into work. Some of that only you can answer, because an enquiry from Baner that became an order is invisible to the advertising account unless somebody writes it down. Agree at the start who records that, and the monthly conversation becomes short and factual. Judge it over a month rather than a day, too: daily figures swing enough to make a sound account look broken and a poor one look healthy. Where the money has to create demand rather than catch it, our Meta ads work covers the other half of that job.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Ads can show within hours of going live, so the first enquiries often arrive the same week. Getting them at a sensible price takes longer. The opening weeks are spent finding which searches convert and blocking the ones that do not, so early figures usually look worse than the settled ones. Judge the account after it has had time to learn.
Work back from enquiries, not forward from a round figure. What matters is how many enquiries you want, how many visits it takes to produce one, and what a visit costs for your particular searches. Competitive trades cost more per visit than quiet ones, and a city-wide area costs more than two localities. We size a starting budget from those and adjust with evidence.
Negative keywords are the searches you refuse to pay for. Without them your ads appear for job hunters, students, people wanting free advice and people looking for a service next to yours. Each of those clicks costs the same as a real buyer. The list is built by reading what actually triggered your ads and adding the waste, week after week.
Almost never. A home page has to speak to everybody, so it answers nobody in particular, and the visitor who searched for one specific thing has to hunt for it. Send each campaign to a page that repeats the promise in the ad, with a single action on it. This one change usually improves results more than any bidding adjustment.
By tracking the call, not just the click. Forms are straightforward to record. Calls need a tracking arrangement that ties the ring to the ad and search behind it, and messages need the same treatment. Once that is running, the report stops being about traffic and starts naming which words produced work, which is the only figure worth arguing over.
Often yes, because the two answer different needs. Advertising lets you choose the page, the wording and the day, and it can be switched on for a launch or a season and switched off afterwards. Unpaid visibility keeps working without a daily cost but cannot be pointed at a date. Most businesses use one for steady flow and the other for control.
Yes, and for most local businesses that is the sensible setting. Campaigns can be held to chosen localities or a radius around your address, so you are not paying for enquiries from the far side of the city that you would never travel to serve. Check the setting that decides whether people merely interested in an area are included.
