Sellers
Sourcing, curating the mix, allotment, and the group they coordinate in before the day.

A flea market lives or dies on whether the sellers made money. They are individuals and tiny labels, not companies with a marketing budget, and a quiet weekend hurts them personally — which is why the third edition is the hard one.
At an expo the exhibitor is a company with a budget. At a flea market the seller is one person with stock bought on a card, and the table fee is real money to them.
That changes every decision. The fee has to be low enough that a seller can clear it in a morning, which means footfall has to be high and marketing cannot be an afterthought. The curation has to avoid eight sellers of the same candles. And the layout has to walk people past every table, because a seller in a dead corner has lost a weekend, not a line item.
Get it right and the sellers bring the next edition's crowd themselves — they are, collectively, a far bigger social reach than any organiser has.
Every photo here is from an event our team planned and ran.
Most of it happens in the three weeks before.
Sourcing, curating the mix, allotment, and the group they coordinate in before the day.
Tables placed so the whole floor is walked, with anchors in the far corners and space for prams.
Local digital, the venue’s own channels, the sellers’ reach, and a target rather than a hope.
A rate a small brand can justify, with position priced honestly and no hidden extras.
The mall, lawn, rooftop or clubhouse, and whatever the venue and local body require in writing.
Load-in slots, power where it is needed, music, bins, and somebody sellers can find all day.
The classic: lawn or ground, fifty to a hundred tables, two days.
Atrium tables with mall footfall, which changes the economics entirely.
Seasonal gifting, the highest-earning weekend of the year for most sellers.
December format, evening hours, food and music alongside.
Inside a residential complex, for residents and resident-run labels.
A single brand taking a short-term space, which is a different job — fit-out and staffing.
Younger crowd, lower ticket, very high social reach.
Makers rather than resellers, usually with demonstrations.
A first flea market fills on curiosity. The second and third fill on what sellers tell each other.
If somebody has to sell fifteen items before they break even, they will not return. Work the fee back from a realistic morning's sales and fund the difference with footfall and sponsorship rather than with a higher fee.
Eight candle sellers means eight unhappy sellers. Cap the categories, and tell applicants honestly when a category is full — they would rather hear it than share a weekend with seven competitors.
Put something people want in the far corners — food, music, a workshop table, the entry desk — so the whole floor gets walked. At an expo a dead corner is a complaint; here it is somebody's rent.
Sellers will post, and collectively their reach is larger than yours, but it is not a substitute for a spend. Local digital, the venue's channels and the sellers' own posts together — and tell the sellers the target so they can plan stock.
Eighty sellers arriving by car with boxes, in one window, through one gate. Staggered slots, a trolley or two and somebody directing cars is the difference between a calm opening and sellers still unpacking when the first visitors arrive.
Footfall, hours, what sold well. Sellers who are treated as partners rather than tenants bring their own crowd to the next one.

That search returns whoever advertises hardest in Pune, not whoever runs the better event. It is a starting list, and the sorting is still yours to do.
Ask for an itemised scope, ask who is on site on the day, and ask what they have set up in Pune already. The answers sort a list of ten down to two. Our contact page has both numbers and WhatsApp, and you will get an itemised scope back rather than one figure.
Can't find yours? Call or WhatsApp — a planner answers.
Through the seller community itself, which is tightly connected, plus outreach to small labels and makers in the category mix we want. Curation matters more than numbers — we cap categories so eight people are not selling the same candles, and tell applicants honestly when a category is full.
Low enough that a seller can clear the fee in a morning. Work it back from realistic sales rather than from your costs, and fund the gap with footfall and sponsorship. A fee that needs fifteen sales to break even produces sellers who do not return.
A mall brings its own footfall and charges for it; a lawn costs less and all the footfall is yours to create. For a first edition a mall is safer, and for a market with its own identity a lawn or rooftop usually earns sellers more by the third edition.
Both sides. The organiser spends on local digital and uses the venue’s channels; the sellers collectively have a far bigger reach than any organiser and will post if they are told the plan early. Relying only on seller posts is how a quiet weekend happens.
Staggered arrival slots, a marked gate, trolleys, and somebody directing cars. Eighty sellers with boxes arriving in one window through one gate is the commonest reason a market opens with half the tables still unpacking.
It runs on table fees and sponsorship, so the question is the venue, the number of tables and the footfall target. Send those three and you will get the economics laid out, including honestly whether the venue rent can be covered at a fee sellers will pay.
Reviews and ads decide who appears first, not who runs the better event. Plan With YOLO has planned events since 2013 out of Pune and handles weekend flea market, mall pop-up and festive or diwali market in Pune. Ask which parts are handled in house and which are being passed to a third party.
Look for a team that has already worked in Pune, because venue access, power and society timings are local knowledge and cost you a day to learn. Our office is in Anand Nagar off Sinhagad Road and the crew travels to Pune with its own kit. Send the date, the venue and a rough guest count and you get a scope back the same day.
The number depends on guests, venue, décor and stage scale, and how close to the date you book. A wedding date in season and a weekday corporate meeting in Pune are not comparable, so a quoted range before anyone has seen the brief is not worth much. You will get an itemised scope for your own event, and every line on it can move.
